My dad told me to listen to his story. This is the story.
When God created us and other animals, God asked some animals.
A Buffalo / Cow was asked by God 1st. "I give you 30 years. You have to pull plough for the rest of your life." The animal answered, "Oh please God, I don't want. Just give me 20 years." God then agreed.
Then next animal was Horse. God, again, asked the animal. "I give you 50 years. You have to running around pulling carriage for the rest of you life." The animal answered, "Oh please God, I don't want. Just give me 30 years." God then agreed.
Next is Monkey. God asked the animal. "I give you 30 years. You have to make children happy by dancing and playing with them." Again, the animal protested. "Oh please God, I don't want. Just give me 20 years." God, of course, agreed.
The last animal was Dog. God asked the animal. "I give you 30 years. You have to guard houses for the rest of your life." The animal protested. "Oh please God, I don't want. Just give me 20 years." God again, agreed.
At last, God asked Human. "I give you 20 years. You live just to eat, sleep and doing something happy." Human of course agreed. Human even asked for more. God then said, " I give you the remaining years that the other animals don't want."
There goes all the remaining years. Human when reaches 20 years, has to start doing work under boss like buffalo pulling plough. When 30s, Human will have their own business. But there is a catch. Human has to run around settling the business like running horse. After 20 years, when Human has grandchild, he/she has to doing funny things to make his/her grandchild happy hence like monkey. When reaching 60s, all children are leaving home making the Human staying and guarding home like what God asked dog to.
Hmm.... that was the story. Abit modified as it was told in Hokkien. :D In my humble opinion, the story left quite alot of impression on me. I don't know why but it does reflects human's condition. hehe.....
